What to Expect:
KRISHNA DAS chants five nights of Kirtan with his full band including a LIVE Chai n’ Chat Special Session and Sunday Morning “Celebration of Life” Darshan / Mala Ritual / Aarti Ceremony.
MIRABAI STARR / JACK KORNFIELD / TRUDY GOODMAN / MIRABAI BUSH (just added) share the integration of Buddhist Traditions, Mystics / Mysticism and Contemplative Mind teachings, meditations, visualizations and interactive practices that will include group breakouts.
DUNCAN TRUSSELL shares his “Big Sky Mind”and POV’s, that entertain with his cosmic dharmic humor.
LEI’OHU RYDER / MAYDEEN ‘ĪAO offer Mana’o (Wisdom) and share the teachings of Aloha through Ceremony, Blessings, Pule (Prayer) and Mele (Song).
RAGHU MARKUS moderates featured sessions and facilitates a Live Mindrolling Podcast with Duncan Trussell and friends focused on the Retreat Theme of “Grist for the Mill”
NINA RAO shares the story of Hanuman and leads a Hanuman Chalisa chant practice that you can take home with you.
RAMESHWAR DAS hosts Sunrise Silent Sitting Meditation Sessions and joins Special Sessions to share his stories and wisdom.
PARVATI MARKUS (just added) joins a “Maharaj-ji / Ram Dass Panel Discussion” as well as shares her latest book project “Dying to Know” of the popular documentary film.
JOHN PATTERN (just added) to share an afternoon live music performance that integrates Ram Dass teachings & meditations. A Soul Land Records Feature.
DURGA STEF brings her heart-centered Hatha Yoga practice imbued with the teachings of Maharaji and Ram Dass.
JOYANNA MARIA ANANDA leads a favorite, connective, low impact Qigong movement practice on the Lahaina Building Lawn.
JYOTI LEVY – WEE YOGIS supports the toddlers and young children with music, movement and the introduction to Awareness & Mindfulness.
This Retreat is well supported by the good work of a veteran LSRF staff, longtime Ram Dass Maui-based volunteers and the Hospitality Teams of the Napili Kai Beach Resort / Sea House Restaurant. This Retreat is NOT seeking Work Trade or Volunteers, Sponsorships, Sliding Scale, Student or Senior Rates are not offered for this year’s Maui Retreat. Mahalo for your Kokua. No senior rates, volunteering, or sliding scale. I can’t help and wonder what RD would make of that. Any thoughts to share?
Thank you for your inquiry concerning Ram Dass Legacy Retreats. The Retreats operate, function and are produced the same way today as they were when Ram Dass was alive living on Maui. They were and have been organized to meet his direction / vision he provided until his death in 2019.
We do have a team of long standing Maui based volunteers who support the Retreats and our public events on Maui. The Retreats also have a Scholarship program that enables those who don’t have the means to attend the Retreat an opportunity to do so.
We put out the announcement that you cite, as a means to inform potential inquiries (like yourself) what the Retreat has and does not have available as options to attend the Retreat.
100% of any Retreat earnings are reinvested in the Love Serve Remember Foundation to enable offerings such as the Ram Dass Inner Academy media library, Online courses, Fellowship communities and live streams, Books, Music and Films. In addition to opportunities to connect with like minded seekers and Ram Dass’s teachings often for free or on a sliding scale donation basis.
