BIPOC Satsang: Place, Space & Belonging
November 21, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm PST
Our November gathering will be centered around the importance of place, space, and belonging. As human beings, so much of our well being is connected to having a sense of belonging and of community. However, as people of color, we are often made to feel as though we do not belong within many different spheres; whether it be at school, at work, in a given neighborhood or country, or within a particular spiritual practice. This satsang is meant to provide a safe space, in which a sense of place and belonging is fostered and maintained. In this call, we will discuss different ways in which we, as a people, can reclaim a greater sense of belonging and place within a society that cultivates homogeneity. How might we as a collective, through our spiritual work, create a more expansive world, spacious enough to encompass all that we are?
For those who identify as Black, Indigenous, or People of Color.
