What is a Retreat and how is it different from a Public Event, Workshop or Conference ?
The Ram Dass Legacy Retreats are a (4-5 day) period of seclusion for the purposes of prayer, meditation, singing and dancing in a safe secluded place in which one can rest, relax, reflect, contemplate and integrate a Retreat Experience.
What are the "ground rules" pertaining to having children join the Retreat? Rates for rate for Infants / Toddlers / Children / Teens?
Yes. Parents must supervise at all times. No daycare is provided.
- Children under 9 attend free
- Ages 10–12 pay $600
- 13+ pay adult rates.
Does the Retreat include or organize Ground Transportation to and from the nearest major airport?
Participants handle all Air Travel either to Charlotte / Douglas Airport – CLT (Summer Mountain Retreats) or to Maui’s Kahului Airport – OGG.
For Summer Mountain Retreat ground transportation is handled solely by registrants.
For Maui Retreat there is limited Shuttle Service with Polynesian Adventures and West Maui Taxi, available ONLY on the Day of Arrival & Day of Departure for ONSITE attendees. Details on how to sign up for the service are provided on the Retreat’s Website and upon Registration.
How does the Retreat manage / address those of us with Dietary Restrictions?
Vegetarian-focused with vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options. Maui retreats also offer chicken and fish. Special meal requests accommodated.

Will I be asked to "Join Anything or an Organization”?
Not at any time or in any way…you are free to come and go as you feel into what is most comfortable for your personal journey during the course of the Retreat
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable, layered clothing for changing temperatures for both Maui and Summer Mountain Retreats.
What type of Seating is Provided?
General admission, no reserved seating. Personal items must be removed during breaks. Meditation cushions, blackjacks, and chairs available.
How do I apply for a Retreat Scholarship?
Please fill out this form HERE. Scholarships recipients will be notified if they’ve been selected in time to coordinate their own travel arrangements. Scholarship does not include travel expenses.
Can I volunteer or work-trade?
No. All of our retreats are fully staffed by our organization. Please apply for scholarship should you need financial assistance to attend.
