Service and social action are topics near and dear to Ram Dass. At the behest of his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, Ram Dass spent much of his life in the service of others, whether working with the dying and the homeless, helping cure preventable blindness through the Seva Foundation, or simply providing guidance to all of us on our journeys of going from egos to souls. It is not an easy path to take, but as Ram Dass discovered, it is a path that often leads to expansive spiritual growth.

How Doing Good Can Trap You: Ram Dass was spending time with a man with MS and he was about to get caught in being a do gooder, helping the poor soul with MS, but then they looked into each others' eyes and he saw that this man was a soul, not someone with MS, and they hugged and delighted for several hours in just being Souls together. So who helped who? Ram Dass was swimming with dolphins and he connected with a dolphin named "Rosie" and they connected deeply as Souls.

Ram Dass leads a discussion around the concepts of identity and ones Dharma in this incarnation. We may go to great lengths to avoid our path, but our inner voice continues to bring us back. Ram Dass also explains the role of karma yoga and what it means to ‘die into service.’ We learn to work with our desires and move right into the fire. Through this work, we free ourselves from attachment and find a deeper connection with God.
